SVB847
I was just looking for some quick input on something I have recently noticed. After playing my setup full tilt for a while I notice that the top 2 subs get warmer than the bottom 2 subs in my C pillar wall. They are just warm, not hot by any means, but something that had me concerned. I have checked and all of the subs are in phase, they are gain matched, all wired to 1 ohm and setup w/ the dd1. The subs are in a flat wall, common chamber, common port. The only difference from the top to bottom of my wall is the bottom two subs are hidden behind the rear bucket seats, the top 2 subs are basically behind the headrest. I figure it would be the opposite and the bottom two would be warmer since they dont have room to vent, but could it be the opposite? Anything else I can check or test? Thanks for any input and if I forgot any needed details please let me know. 2000 Chevy SuburbanPioneer AVHP8400BH8 - 18" Fi SP4 Subwoofers (fully loaded) B Pillar 4th Order (75 cubes)2 - Ampere Audio 8.0 TFE AmpsRF T6004 AmpRF T4002 Amp4 - Selenium 8W4P Mids8 - Selenium 6W4P Mids6 - Crescendo XST2 Supertweeters2 - Selenium ST200 SupertweetersDC Power 320 Alt & Js Ultimate 27011 - Group 31 BatsBuild Log:http://www.stevemead...01bdcp-updated/Team GG
Ben Fultz
Could be something as simple as heat rises.

Raptorman
From the heat rising idea, the heat will dissipate from the bottom subs and rise up to the top subs, which means they don't have the cold air to cool the coils like the bottom subs do. So that's a theory I suppose. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. SVB847
Thats another thing I was thinking.. Maybe there is more pressure at the bottoms since they are enclosed near the seat, but the top woofers can unload more easily since there is nothing in front of them.. that or maybe unloading issues when playing certain songs, i know my woofers dont like certain songs for a long time. 2000 Chevy SuburbanPioneer AVHP8400BH8 - 18" Fi SP4 Subwoofers (fully loaded) B Pillar 4th Order (75 cubes)2 - Ampere Audio 8.0 TFE AmpsRF T6004 AmpRF T4002 Amp4 - Selenium 8W4P Mids8 - Selenium 6W4P Mids6 - Crescendo XST2 Supertweeters2 - Selenium ST200 SupertweetersDC Power 320 Alt & Js Ultimate 27011 - Group 31 BatsBuild Log:http://www.stevemead...01bdcp-updated/Team GG
