I need some info if yall can please

So im thinking about getting out of car audio due to money and other things. i have to much i want to do and im not able to do it at all. I know me and as long as i have a system i will want to do stuff with it and upgrade. So im thinking of selling my stuff. NO I AM NOT SELLING IT ON THIS SIGHT sorry im doing it local only but i need to know what my stuff is worth. If i dont get out of audio i still want to sell some of it any way so i can at least upgrade the woofers i have now to a little more power. So here is what i have.

Kenwood KAC-7285 (has been used but still works GREAT)

2 JL audio 10w1v2-8ohm's (2 years old but still looks brand new and works perfect)

JL audio powerwedge box (holds the 2 10w1v2's

Soundstream TX.1 2000d (this might be sold might not depends on if i getting out of it or just selling to upgraid still deciding.)

all my stuff is used yes but still in great condition. i will try to get pics tomorrow. and yes i know this may be on the wrong section but i could not put it on the forsale part.

I was thinking for the kenwood amp and woofers and box 300 would not be a bad deal. Idont want to screw some one by asking way to much tho.

Why not just put it in a box and throw it in the closet like the rest of us and if and when a time comes you want a little more than you have now you can just pull it out and install it. Never hurts to have backup gear on hand if the need ever arises.

as much as i want to do that (more with the amp then the subs since it was my dads old one) i can not upgrade unless i can sell at least the woofers and box.

If you really need the money for bills I would say sell it all just keep the sub amp. You can get subs cheap and build a box for cheap if you ever want to get in to sounds again. The kenwood isn't worth keeping IMO but one is selling on Ebay for $19.99

You will never get close to your money's worth in resale unless you are willing to buy when its on sale and sit on it until someone is willing to blow the cash. I have been fairly lucky in the game buying on sale and breaking even or making a profit sometimes. The thing is when you need the money you let it go for less and end up losing either way. Save up get the good stuff then you won't ever want to sell it unless the price is too good to turn down.

The jls do sound great i just want more power.i really would hate to get out of audio but if I must I must.( for now)

Is the JL box ported or sealed? You don't need a lot of power to get loud and sound good. Its all about the box and tuning. The subs matter as well stepping up your cone area and building a better box can do wonders.

Sealed if I upgrade I will be using the soundstream and I want about 600rms each in a ported tuned to 35hz

If you want to get the most out of that amp you will need subs that can be run at 2 ohm or 1 ohm you will get a lot more power. If you had them in parallel you were only getting around 375 probably less depending on your electrical to each one at 4 ohms final impedance. If you plan on running that amp at 1 ohm you will need to beef up electrical and that's when you start spending a lot more money. Just switching the impedance of your subs will almost double to triple your power output.

RMS Power Rating:

• 4 ohms: 750 watts x 1 chan.
• 2 ohms: 1300 watts x 1 chan.
• 1 ohm: 2000 watts x 1 chan.

I have them in parallel to have a final ohm load of 4ohms. I don't plan to run the amp at 1 but I would like to do it at 2 ohms
