SnowDrifter
In a ported box: playing below tuning results in a loss of backpressure against the sub - called unloading. Without this back-pressure to control the mechanical movement of the driver: it starts moving a ton. Because a sealed box doesn't have a port and doesn't have a tuning frequency, the backpressure is always there. SnowDrifter
You don't need a tuning frequency because you don't have one. Your box is sealed, which means it doesn't have a port. And your tuning frequency is based on the port. No port = no tuning. Make sense? It's a sealed box. It should play pretty low. Maybe not loud, but low. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
