Need some help/ input on box build 2 15 sdc 2.5 trailblazer

Recommended Posts

I've got a general idea of the size of box i want and how much port i need. Which would be somewhere between 9-10 ft.3 internal after all bracing and 45s in all corners. I would really like to tune in the low 30s. The max space i have is 45x18x32{WxHxD} and im trying to keep the box as short as possible seeing that i need a false floor to mount amps underneath. Just looking for input maybe to higher to get more volume? or change port area or anything like that before i settle on this design.

for those not following my build www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166273-poncho-designs-trailblazer/

in the future i plan i running 2 AA Havocs and want to keep that in mind when designing this box.

Any and all input is much appreciated.

Here is a suggestion, had to take away 4 inches for port clearance but the box depth can be 4 inches less than the total depth at the rear gate so it could be more than 26 deep for increased net volume, also whatever you are placing under the box can't be that tall total height of 25 would likely be too tall:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 35 Hz
Vb = 8 ft^3

External Height = 20 in
External Width = 45 in
External Depth = 26 in

Port Width = 35 in
Port Height = 4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 45 x 26

Left & Right Sides = 24 1/2 x 17 3/4

Front & Back = 45 x 17 3/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 20 1/2 x 36 1/2
Extension = 1 x 36 1/2

Port Left Side Assembly:
20 1/2 x 4
5 3/4 x 4
Port Right Side Assembly:
20 1/2 x 4
5 3/4 x 4

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The port needs 4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.
