Battery charging - do I need to disconnect it?

I have a d1400 in my car right now. I normally try to charge my batteries once a week at least

My issue is that my 4 channel will protect at 16.3v, but the charger will charge at 16.6v. And I'm not familiar with what happens internally when an amp is turned off - like where it cuts the power.

So that begs the question: Do I need to disconnect my battery every time I charge it or will the amp be safe because it's "off"?

If the car is powered off while charging, thus the amp is off and not receiving a signal from a remote turn on, you should be fine.

Ok sweet. That's just what I wanted to make sure :D
