Never got a chance to run numbers on it but I had one. Does 2900w @ 1 ohm and is supposedly underrated.

No, it dont.....

Americanbass specs haven been mislabled for years...

If the 150.1 did 2900wrms @ 1 ohm, then how come the 200.1 only did 3000 wrms...

Its a 1500watt rms amp at 1ohm on a 12volt electrical, 2000ish on higher voltage. Like the older 2200watt audioque amps

Very similar to the current model 150.1 which i had 2 of.

The amp is very old, 7+ years, since they where using the same heatsink as the SPL Dynamic amplifiers of that time era.

Here are my pair of spl dynamic ext-3000ds, these where idenical to the american bass 200.1

3000rms @1ohm

Here are my old 150.1s, using the same board now with minimal chhanges as the old gold 150.1s did.

So please tell me how those 150.1s are 2900wrms amps.......

So if this is the forsale thhread you are looking at for the vfl150.1, the owner is full of shit for 2900watts rms @ 1 ohm.

This thread will show countless people saying the 150.1 is 1500watts rms on 12volts, 2000ish on higher voltage.

well fuck do I know? Basing it off of others opinion obviously is a bad idea....but like I said, I never ran numbers on it and only hooked it up to test before I sold it....

I used the amps next series 150.1s, the next heatsink design, which is a basic design.

Look at any korean built 3000 wrms amp, then look at the same korean builltl 1500-2200 wrms amps (ab 150.1, audioque2200, hifonics brutus 2100 iirc) they all claim 2200rms, there is nothing special about the old vfl150.1 its just a different heatsink.

For the longest time, and I mean years and years Bobs site was wrong as can be where the amp wattage for the 150.1 was higher then the 200.1, and iirc it was saying the 150.1 was the same power as a 400.1...... So there was a lot of mis informed people.

I think we can all agree for American bass that the higher the number the higher its wattage, IE 120.1 is a little amp while 1100.1 is a big amp, and it goes in said order as that, 120.1 150.1 200.1 400.1 500.1 700.1 1100.1 etc ;)

Not trying to be a dick or anything, I just want the potential buyer to be well aware of what he maybe buying so he dont get jewed on an amp that puts out the same power he already has.
