How to wire dual input amp power and ground

Buddy of mine just picked up a aq3500.1 which has dual inputs for both power and ground!

He has a spare battery in the back and 0 gage run from the front to the back battery

Grounded to frame and the amp is grounded to battery in back which shares the same ground

So battery and and amp share the same ground

Can he just add an extra set of zero gage to the battery both power and ground?

Meaning both runs of power run off battery in back

Both grounds to amp share the same ground as battery?

Hope that made sence

i'd add an extra positive 0 gauge run from front battery to rear battery too. that amp can pull some current.

also, i hope he has a high output alternator. otherwise that amp wont last long if hes irresponsible.

What alt does he have? an AQ3500 is not an amp that you can just throw in a car without electrical upgrades. Just to give you an idea a team mate has blown a pair of 200 amps fuses with it. That's 400+ amps of current - enough to seriously fry things if you don't have the wiring to support it

Really what I'm asking... Give me the rundown of what he has for electrical. Alt, batts, wiring and whether it's OFC or CCA. Has he done the big 3?
