Weird problem! Subs seem lower in volume

give the fuses a looking at.. it seemed to be a random case but i remember reading where a guy was melting the fuse and it was losing current through it (bad connection on the fuse)... voltage was fine but the fuse wasn't letting the amp get enough current causing it to diminish output after a song or 2.. its worth a look

This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned

What would be my best option in that department? Just drill some wholes and run strait from sub to amp forget about terminal cups?

Bolts IMO.

Get 2 bolts, 2 nuts, and 4 washers. Drill a hole the size of the bolt into the box, then slide it all together.

Bolt----Ring Terminal----Washer----Box----Washer----Ring Terminal----Nut

That's what I have always done at least.

that is what i would suggest don't forget to seal around the wire
