russtezecustoms Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 They sell extended batery post bolts for side post batterys at any auto parts store ( im partial to advance auto because im a comercial account manager there) you just pull the stock bolt out of the rubber boot on the end of your cable, reatach it with the new one, then atatch the uograded cable with the nut on the outer portion of the new bolt. The new bolts are usually made of brass with threads on bolth ends and a nut one end. You will need two of those, aprox. 6' of good cable 1 or 2 gauge at least and 6 ring terminals that will fit your cable. You should also look into running 1 or 2 gauge cable for power and ground distribution blocks in the back where you can run short pieces of 4 gauge to your amps. Those steps will get you alot closer but you will probably still need a second battery in the back. Also allways fuse any power runs that are 18 inches or more. Edit for www.advanceautoparts.com I just wish i had a funny sig.

And if you don't know how to solder, find someone around you who does. Mashing terminals on with a vice or hammer or something just doesn't cut it. I don't care how hard you think you can squeeze ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

russtezecustoms Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 Sorry yes 1/0 or 2/0 gauge is what i meant. Just being lazy. Haha I just wish i had a funny sig.
Enzo Posted April 14, 2013 Author Report Posted April 14, 2013 I have been listening to what Larry has been saying and its helping me alot. Im still young in the knowledge of car audio haha! Anyways i am considering doing the big 3, just have to find out the proper way to do it. I have been going over those forums a bunch of times but its still pretty confusing. Also i took my sub out of the box today to just make sure i did all the connections to 2 ohm which i have but i noticed the speaker wire going to the terminals on the box was 12 gauge and i believe i used 16 gauge to attach them to the amp. Is this why the sub i super quiet aswell? Like the sub is flexing but its not even close to being as loud as the rockford P2 i had on 400 watts
