mnrookie Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Does anyone know anything about this alternator? A buddy owed me some money and gave me this instead, it's brand new. Says its a 253 amp. On the alt there is a sticker that says WPS Model: 8292N-253A Volts: 12 and a serial number.

Bump4life Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 All that is is an upgraded Chinese unit. 8292 are not solid stock Alts to build from. It probably won't do 250 hot but it may be better than stock. You'll take your chances with idle output as some 8292 come with good rotors while others don't.
