Mr Bigolsworth Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 So I've noticed your in the subwoofer/encloser forum a lot and first off would like to thank you for the help so far. I'm a rookie at designing box's and would like your help. I'm looking at doing to type r 1242 inverted each having there own mrp-m500 amp. I already have both amps and one sub sitting at my house. I drive a 2012 civic si and want to build a box in the trunk with the box starting right up against the back seats. I would like to port through the back deck where the stock sub is. And max could fit a 6 inch port. I really don't want to have port noise. Or second option is to build a slotted port facing forward and have to put my rear seats down when I play it loud. Looking for suggestions and hoping for your help. I'd like for the subs to be mounted like below but with amps mounted between the two subs. It's my daily driver and would like to keep as much trunk space. 2002 chevy avalanche Currently have: 2 dc xl 18 set of T2652-s scv-6k Ct sounds 75.4 270a mechman xp3000 d3400 Wanted: saz 200.4 Second set of T2652-s D3100's deadner
Joe X Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 In a trunk car firing forward and sealing off is the best way in most cases to increase your output, take a look at this thread to see how guys on here have gone about doing it: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166005-noticeable-gain-from-sealing-off/ I will add that you can get valuable feedback from many members other than myself so address your questions to the forum not just only me, I do take a look at most threads specially if they keep bumping up.
