box build for 15 inch kicker L7

i am trying to make a box for my brothers 15 inch l7 i want to make a vented box. he has it running on a kicker zx 550.2. hes prob gonna upgrade to a bigger amp soon but for now thats what he has in a 03 monte carlo. i made a box on RE box calculator and this is what i have. please leave ant comments or advice thanks,

box width - 32 inchs

height 15

depth 28

3/4 MDF will be used

port width 5 inchs

port length- 22.25

2 port length- 15

box voluime- 4.5 cubes

tuned to 27 hz

please let me knoiw if this looks good and the tuning is good. i understand the the sub is really big and the sub displacement will bring the volume down but the box seems big enough to me. and the tunning might be a little low. but let me know thanks

Why tune to 27hz?? Completely pointless, plus don't use RE Calc. Download Torres Box Calc of this forum

Tune to like 36hz with like 12-14sq in of port per cube. You can still play upper 20s tuned in the upper 30s and 40hz area if done correctly.

Re caclulator has errors in its math 27 is way to low the 15 will get down on its own and thats what 200 watts on that sub No good

i have one 15l7 in a 4.5 cube box tuned to 32

this is my box

31.5 wide, 24 deep 17 high then I would suggest doing this:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 32 Hz
Vb = 4.5 ft^3

External Height = 17 in
External Width = 31.5 in
External Depth = 24 in

Port Width = 3 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front = 27 x 15 1/2
Front Internal = 25 1/2 x 15 1/2
Back = 31 1/2 x 15 1/2

Left & Right Sides:
Side 1 = 22 1/2 x 15 1/2
Side 2 = 23 1/4 x 15 1/2

Top & Bottom = 31 1/2 x 24

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 18 3/4 x 15 1/2
Extension = 2 x 15 1/2
