sub and port placement

Sound Quality = Bass up front with the stage and image ... and should have the effect that there is no subwoofer, just definate low end presence ...

Now with that said ... Center Console = sub down or forward and port forward and if possible, as close to the dash as possible, possibly firing into the under section of the dash ... tuned in the low 20s

and if you are after TRUE Sound Quality ... One of those 8s should be sufficient in that center console on true class A/B power at 4 or 8 ohms mono. Its all about clarity, deffinition, dynamics, and headroom ... not raw output power.

just my suggestion, hope this helps ...

Nice Drivers ... Never used or heard them

My thoughts (and this is just me from my presonal experience) ...

Use the largest cone area driver you can get and run that will not "pull" your stage back when slightly tuned to higher frequiencies to try and "match" the mid bass drivers ... My 4 10s Isoberic setup is notorious about this, which is why we normally tune my subs around 40 to 50 htz during Sound Quality Competitions ...

This is primarily the reason why you see most competitor cars using nothing larger than a 10" driver. Multiple smaller drivers work too, but needs ALOT of tuning. Larger subs (12s, 15s, and 18s) WILL WORK in Sound Quality, but requires ALOT of tuning.

Most people say that sub bass will not pull your stage back ... trust me, I know they will say this.

But if you set in and listen to extreme Sound Quality vehicles Like Mark Eldridge, Todd Crowder, and Scott Buwalda, you will understand what I'm talking about ...

If you already have them ... Then yes, downfiring them with the port(s) forward tuned around 28 htz should give you something to work with ...

You might be better off flipping your subs to where the magnets are on the outside and maybe do fully external ports. Might make the enclosure smaller to work with ...

Just a suggestion ...
