Is 4 6x8's enough?

i have a 2006 ford escape, 6x8 speakers in the doors, im replacing stock speakers with the kicker CSS684 component system. i'm mounting one tweeter on each A pillar and one on each side somewhere in the back seat... they'll be running off a soundstream TX440 4 channel amp... i have a fully loaded 18" fi bl (need to build box yet) will this be enough mid range bass and highs to keep up with the monster woofer? thanks for the replies

Should be plenty. I have 4 6x8 coaxials that kept just fine before they blew lol off 60ish watts I believe

Why not put 6.5" in there

Most mid prices components come with the adaptor to adapt or it can easily be made with some 1/2mdf

You'll get a lot more to chose from brand and option wise

for example - Rockford Fosgate series come with adapters.. I had 6.5s and twts installed instead of 6x9s and it worked very well!

My rockford 6.5s didnt come with adapters..... I could really use them right now too lol
