Now, I have a shitty 4 channel (kicker 350.4) and im gonna run my 2 super tweets off channels 1&2 and run my 4 mids off channels 3&4. Now im doing 2 mids per channel and I wanna know... where do I connect the positives and negatives? Do I wire them to parallel in the back by the amp or what? john253a Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 What the ohm load of the speakers If they are all 4ohm Run it as a 4ch amp ch 1&3 left and 2&4 right door The tweeter is easy 1 per ch at 4ohm getting around 60rms each The mids in parrell at 2ohm final Giving around 75-90 per ch 37-45rms each If you have a dd1 set the mids at -5 and the the super about 1/2 way between -5 and 0db You'll also need a good eq and I mean a good 5or7 band eq as there a bitch to tune

I did that for my whole frontstage, and am absolutely happy. Edit: I agree with him on the EQ. When youre running active, sound processing is key. You need to be able to highpass your tweets and bandpass your mids. I also feel that you need to equalize your soundstage. Id prefer more than 5 bands of equilization. I have 31 bands per front channel and 27 per rear. Even if the super tweets are overbearing, instead of adding distortion to the mids, I would lower the gain of the tweeter channels. That's just me though.
