asilayinruins Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I currently have one Rockford Fosgate DVC 2-ohm T2 12inch (T2D212)(1200rms, 2400peak). I'm currently running it on a Sounstream Picasso 1000watt amp. I'm thinking on buying another T2 and run two of them. I need to upgrade my amp though. I was wondering what amp you guys prefer if I'm going to wire the two subs together parallel at 2-ohms. How much watts rms do i need from the amp? Any suggestions on what amp i should get? Sorry kind of new to the game. Mahalo's!

I'm not sure on the price difference but they are both great amps... Check with corona_jeff on here... He is an authorized DC sales rep and he can get you a quote. Can i run it at .5 ohms? Is this okay?
Skullz Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Don't run .5 ohm, if others are willing to pay to have your amp repaired then i would say fine but they won't and it just stresses everything doing it. EDIT: These amps are not built like the older cheater amps and not capable of sustained below rated ohm operation like the old school amps were. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Besides, you will never see actual .5 after rise. sweendog Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 People on here seem to think your car will blow up if you run below 1 ohm.
