Krakin
Getting a beauty panel and a false floor cut out. Messy garage but I keep cleaning it more and more as I go in to get it all set up right. Getting all the wood mocked up for some more measurements. Going to screw the amp down right there I think. And going to have another piece of MDF going down in front of the amp so I can screw in. Gonna look something like this. Also I am running my power wire through the factory grommet by the driver side door. And it was a PITA to get it through there. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. boom50cal
That looks like 8 gauge, you gotta hit SkyHigh back up! But the rest of it looks killer as FAWK! My amp won't take 1/0 input so waiting on Sky High to get some 4-gauge back in stock and I'll order some. If they don't get it up before I'm out of school I'll shoot them a PM seeing if I can get some made up for me. boom50cal
You could always do 1/0 to a distro, for expansion in the future. Imo, thats the best bet you got, cause I know you are going to get bored of this and want to upgrade. Cause I'm bored of mine, it needs more POWAA! I'm going to have to look up to see what some people have done because I know I'm going to upgrade in the future, my goal is to get 2.5k back there. I just need to look into adapters for my battery for better wire connections or save up for some XS Power. boom50cal
Will you post a picture of your engine bay when you get the chance? If it's anything like mine, I have a storage box that can hold another battery if I remove it. Or you could do a pair or more batteries in the tool box, along with a single one in the engine bay. With a good HO alt and quite a few runs of 1/0, I'd say you would be good up to 5k with a 3400 and 2 or 3 3100's. If you mean the empty spot at the back left by passenger door then yes I am pretty sure I have another spot in the engine for a battery. And once you said 5k that blew over my budget. Haven't gotten a job yet for summer and all the places I applied wouldn't hire me during track season. boom50cal
Hmm. You could probably move your washer reservoir back and build a custom intake box out of plexiglass, and fit a battery there... You're quite a bit more strapped for space than I am. Tool box bank ftw! On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. Krakin
Guess I made my box 1" bigger than I had thought. Not a big deal cause it still fits like a glove.
