Pioneerchuck Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 You should worry about your primary battery first and make sure to do your Big 3 as well. Just upgrading from the stock 4-8ga. wire to a bigger size wire (0ga.+) could give you some pretty good jumps in voltage maintainability. And then add that with a good Primary battery and you will be doing a lot better than if you were to just add a secondary battery. Some good low cost batteries that could work for your application could be Deka, the Duracell Platinums (i believe is the name), Remy, Energizer, Kinetic, XS Power. Of course with Kinetic and XS being the pricier options.
