What to do?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I have debated wiring in another battery. I have changed out most of the wires under my hood. Not to 1/0 going to do that soon. My system is 1200rms.my lights dim on low beam with the radio half way up. To fix this am I going to have to wire up another battery? Or would a capacitor fix that? I'm sure that the big 3 in 1/0 would help.

I know you are new so I will be nice.

Pro tip: If you ask a question, give all relevant information please. We are not psychic man.

List of things you need to tell us include but are not limited to.

1. Alternator type

2. Battery(s) Size and number

3. Exact wire upgrades include gauges and where they are attached. (this is critical for grounds)

4. Amp type

5. Ohm load of the amp

6. How you set your gains

7. Voltages with car running

Do the Big 3 and work up from there. If all your worried about right now is just light dimming then don't go over board with too many things at once.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

I personally never seen this work for that

Ok. Stock altinator. Battery is a optima red top. 4gage battery to body ground. 4 gage from alt to battery. Stock engine ground. Hifonics Brutus class amp. 1200 rms @1 ohm. 14.51 volts while running. Bass eq and level input are about half way turned up.
