Hillage
I'm still learning, so please bear with me. I'm looking into setting up a system with 2 DC level 4 18" subs. Can somebody possibly suggest some amps for me, or help me learn how to pick the right amp for what I'm using? Preferably learning, so I can use it down the road as well. - Chris
csill420
Great subs man unfortunatly im selling my 4("too much destruction lol) i ran 1 of these amps per pair . hifonics hfi 3k- actually worked great. A bc 3500- FUCKING SHIT. And finally a aq 3500.1- the best amp ive had for these subs. Any true "3500" watt amp will do greatly. But enclosures tuning air space etc can change ur neccessary power. Fuck warning points.
Smoove
Easy answer is a DC 5k 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
csill420
A little excessive. U could quite easily fry the subs on that amp. Mine even get stinky on my aq and its tuned by a dd1 so no clipping. Fuck warning points.
Smoove
I was thinking XL's. A DC 3.5 would work 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
Hillage
Can I throw in a question on my current amp as well? I currently have a Diamond audio technology D5 1200.1 ..... Any idea what that could sell for? Otherwise I'll look into some of the suggested amps. Thanks guys, I appreciate the quick responses.

vetkilr01
Level 4's will run nicely on a quality 5k amp. I have my two level 4's on a bc 3500 each and have everything turned down and they love it. They can't handle 3.5K full tilt, the coils arent good enough. A perfect match would be 5000 watts for them if tuned with a DD-1. J
