Long story short, lost my car so I put some of my equpiment in the girlfriends car. Had 2 mb quart302s powered by a hifonics bxi2010d. Bought 2 pairs of skar rpx65s but only installed 2 in the front, didnt get to the back. I was impressed on how loud they get.

Here's where I need help. I have 2 skar ivx 10s dual 4, I want to aquire that deeeeep dump. Can I get it from the skar 10s with a new amp or keep the hifonics and go with 2 15s / 1 18.

I know it sounds dumb but if its possible on lower power I would prefer that.

If you want more info I can provide whatever you want to know.

what he said ^^^ its all in the box

you can get the deep lows with the right box and tuning. It might not be as loud as the bigger subs but you can still make a great sounding system.

its all about the setup.

Okay. That's what I wanted to hear. It is nice seeing heads turn but for my girlfriend the 12s were to loud.

I will need help picking an amp for the 10s. My budget is around $200, maybe a little more depending on the power. I have 1/0 knu ran to the trunk already, soon doing big 3. I'll look at some amps and try to find something. Would a higher ohm load be more reliable, less risk of damage?

Could somone help me out with a box design or should I spend some cash on a RAMDesign box?

I found a few amps on Sonicelectronix. Just not sure which one would be the best to power my (2) IVX 10s. I want to push them a little more than their RMS but not to much.

Any other suggestions would be great, I appreciate the help.

Me personally I would use the Rockford and run it at 1ohm but that's just me that seams like a good deal

I've made my choice to go with the Fosgate amp.

I not sure on the type of box to go for, slot port or aero.

I'm new to box building but i'm going to make one for these 10s.
