Nubcakeninja
so right now ive got 2 t1 12s on a t2500-1bd, obviously im over powering those subs quite a bit and was wondering this question. so these together have 1600 watt rms and was wondering if since the 12 inch dc audio level 4s have 1500 watts rms a piece so for 2 that would be 3000, since the rms is that much higher will they be quite a bit louder while in the same enclosure and on the same power and everything or is that not really how it works? 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon)
Tarball
More power has the potential for more sound. There are a lot of variables. This may be considered a vs thread though. Nubcakeninja
sorry lol i dont mean to do a versus thing i was just wondering if in gerneral a sub that has more rms will be louder than a sub with less rms in the same enclosure and same power and evrything else the same. 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon)
herbykw
I think it depends in the specs of the subs. Which subs will do better in the box, spider stiffness, Xmax and such. It would be "safer" to run subs that are rated to handle the power. Get some XLs, that way you can throw some more power at them down the road. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834
