Chris Hammer
Far from gay. Would I have the space to do that Chris? Nope not in a trunk car, maybe if you had a tahoe or a crewcab with no back seats like me. Take a look here, this is how big my tline is for one VVX10...gigantic when compared to other enclosures. Krakin
What car again? Also the enclosure design is based off of the driver's Fs and without T/S parameters you can't design one yet. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . Don't get too caught up in FS, I threw a 10$ home woofer in the same tline wayyy below its fs. I believe it was 45hz or soemthing and the tline is 28hz iirc. Still dug low and did fine unless I overpowered it. I had it on less then 20w and it could stil overpower my front stage. I would bet FS will be low as hell on those anyway, Edited May 30, 2013 by Chris Hammer Quote MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. Chris Hammer
OP if you give me your max dims and how many cubes + how much port area you want for your enclosure I can do a quick sketchup for you. I like doing them, sometimes it takes a few days until I get on my home computer but I include all the cut dimensions. Krakin
Reminds me I need to work on mine. They're fun but after a day of changing the port around so many times you get tired of it. shogen
no need to match "brand" ... just type... so a AGM battery and AGM battery... REMY up front if it fits and a HC800 in the trunk... I have a HC1800 under the hood and NOW a G34 platinum series from Sears... Previously had a HC800 though and it was great at the time... then I moved up to a 3500 ... plus a "1000w" front stage amp.... lol Well I want a smaller battery in the trunk too and you guys said to match the batteries, does that company have a smaller battery like Kinetik has? An I contacted Singer and he has a 250A that he could make for me, would that be enough? I'm just trying to get guided through this cause I'm a dumbass when it comes to this stuff... shogen
either of you guys willing to help a brotha out? I still need to make a "mock" enclosure to see what the biggest is I can fit through my trunk opening so it's not immediate.... let me know ... Thanks! Reminds me I need to work on mine. N9neMillahhh
Chris: 40" wide by 15" tall by 20" deep, I'm not very familiar with port area or anything, I just want them to be low and loud, cause I love lows. I'd say I'm okay with losing some highs, especially above about 55 or 60. '97 Nissan maxima btw! Krakin: yeah I feel ya lol I've spent tons of hours just trying to design the right box. 1 Quote 02 Lexus IS300 (2JZ FTW) Mids/Highs: JL Audio C5 6.5s all around Mids/Highs Amp: JL Audio HD 600/4 Subs: four SA-8v2s in 3.8cubes @ 32hz Sub Amps: SAZ3k Battery: Huge Interstate Batteries relocated to trunk About 80ft. of 1/0 OFC....
