Amart88
Well had to get one U bolt off so the guy could make me some new ones. What a bitch. Not looking forward to the rest tomorrow lol. more to come. Also, it is very dirty underneath form the sand and salt on the roads. That's why east coast vehicles rust so bad. Keep it undercoated. Jacked up Sprayed them with lots of penetrating oil last night and today. 2 foot stong arm and I could barely move the damn things. a good 15 mins of grunting on one damn bolt. Finally got it. Definitley in my top 5 PITA bolt list. Got the new ones made up earlier today. A bit longer also. And... here's where she sits untill tomorrow. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled. Karkov
Nice, yea, I only got a couple off mine like that when I did it, the rest I either had to use a metal blade on a sawzall or a torch. Definitely not fun. 16 year old Silverado for me though 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. TortoiseShore
I just read the whole thing, and i have no idea how I didn't see this. Completely sick. All of these bad ass walls make me want to wall my car. Definitely top notch craftsmanship too.
Amart88
Got my add a leafs in today along with the new shocks. Took about 3 hours. Made a noticable difference. Raised about 2 inches. Painted my new Ubolts last night. Looks much better and protects them a bit more from corrosion. Got the wheels off. Camera makes the rust look worse for some reason. Mostly just sand and dirt. where undercoat wore off. Got to take the saddles off. I cut the remaining u bolts out with a grinder, not dealing with them again. Propane torch + fan makes a damn good heater. new leaf in place. with new center pin. The new one just fits in between the 2nd and 3rd leaf. SHocks are out, had to take the saddle off to pound the old shock from the stud. Was a pain. Put some Anti-seize on it. Other side in. All done, truck sits much better now. Lifted around 2" Different pic. more noticeable My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
