bigtrav101 Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Amps - Rockford T2500-1bdcp, Rockford T600-4 Subs - 2 FI Q 15" dual 2 ohms Mids/Highs - 4 Rockford T1693 6x9s, 2 Rockford Tweeters (not sure which model) Alternator - Mechman 220 Batteries - Yellow Top in the Front and Yellow Top in the trunk. It's the big one from Autozone with the 750 cold cranking amps for both. Is the T600-4 enough power for my highs with the amt of power from my sub amp? Is the Alternator big enough? And also are the 2 batteries enough?

But to really know its all by ear and what you like to hear. Personally i like powerful tweets especially when someone is in my car they hear things that cant be heard in there car so it raises interest. As for your alterantor, I think it is perfect size. Are you running buss bars or piggy backing the trunk yellow top off of the front batt?

I was just going to piggy back the 2nd battery...I was curious about the bass overpowering the highs because I've never ran an amp as strong as the 2500bdcp. I've mostly stayed around the 1500 watt range and usually ran the stock speakers on the interior...
bcbrassard Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 Nice choice of product, curious as to why the 6x9s. They will get loud but not super for SQ. I have installed the T1692s and I think there set up is better than the T1693. But that's my opinion. Your definitely going to have the BASS, Not sure if you'll need the extra tweeters or not. Where are your front speakers going? Doors? Take pics and get a build log going. Nice ass car I bet. Good luck!
bigtrav101 Posted June 2, 2013 Author Report Posted June 2, 2013 Well I got 4 T1693s to mount in my back window. I'm debating if I should get 2 more speakers to put in the front with the tweeters. Maybe 2 5x7s or 6.5s??

Ive noticed that sound tends to sound not as detailed without tweets. in the long run tweets are great for making everything sound more detail, bright and when comparing to others cars your car will stand out when they hear how clean it sounds. dont ever frgtet how important tweets are.
bcbrassard Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I reread your posting and if you have 4 RF 6x9s in the rear deck your sound stage is going to be screaming from the back of the car. Where you want your sound is coming from up front. So you will need some screaming speakers up front mounted properly to even hear them. I tried 6.5 rf in my rear deck and hated the sound stage. Mounted T265 comps in rear doors for fill and sounded way better. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
