BASEheadDAN
Hey, im going to a spl run tomorrow. Not sure if they are gonna do the spl test, bass boxing, db drag.. etc.. BUT i have a few questions. The last comp i was at, i had my subs facing towards the trunk. And i hit a 140db with 1 fosgate 12. My question is, If i turn my box around so its facing into the car, will the meter pick it up better from the trunk.. THE SEATS WILL BE DOWN. And also, Which way of woofer facing is the best to pick up the most SPL. I will probably be using a 40-45 htz tone.. if allowed.. if not.. i will be using on my level, or put on. I have a fosgate t2 12 with a t1000.1bdcp... shit will fuck stuff up.. but hell.. i need advise for the third time i do this.. haha

BASEheadDAN
Haha.. i never use bass boost my friend. My bass is always off on my amp as well.. I dont need to crank bass to hit the numbers. Im talking about box placements here. thanks

tacomaguy1
Which way is the port facing....same face as the subs? If so keep it facing back unless you have time to fire both forward and have both sealed off from the trunk Team Flex Issues

Mikhail Felton
I would add a lil bass boost to help out some.. Trust me it will hit a lil harder.. And leave the box facing trunk.. I'm going to run 2mar myself.. My last show I hard 147.3db @38hz.. This time I shorting the port to 38hz and added extra 500rms to my power..also facing sub up compare to last time it was sub back.. Seems to be louder this way.. Smokey619
There is a video about sub placement from crutchfield on YouTube, I believe it hits more when it's facing the trunk and the bass bounces back into the cabin louder
