Hey everyone, new here on the forums, Ive been watching Steve's videos for a few years now and im finally hoping to get my car together and make a build. However, im not very sure on what im supposed to do as this is my first build, and everybody up here in good old canada that I know, dont have the slightest clue about what to do. So I was hopin everyone could help me out a little, and maybe we'll see a build soon! As for now the price that im going to spend doesnt really have a limit, so just throw out your best opinions! Im looking into getting either 1 or 2, SMD 15's or maybe just 1, 18. Also, id like to run more along the sides of Rockford as well, amplifier and speaker. Im looking at 2 T165-S 6.5". and maybe 2 tweeters as well. Im just having a bit of trouble figuring out how much everything will be throwing out, and what kind of amp to get.

Anyways, any help if very appreciated!

The only way to get smd's are used now....and they dont come up too often also to do that sub justice you would want at least 3000rms which means you slso need electrical upgrades

Trolls never learn............

All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. And that includes the trolls feeding the trolls.

YOU THE ONE THAT SOUND LIKE A OGER AND HUMPBACK/TROLLS?

Add "SMDLIFER" on Xbox LIVE to play with other SMD members.

Yeah electrical to support two SMD15's on 3k plus each will cost AS MUCH if not MORE then the subs and amps.

Im well aware of what they cost, and the difficulty to find them.

Im know a sound system nowadays can lean you up in the the thousands depending on how crazy you want to go.

Thats why im here asking questions trying to figure some things out. I want to learn, since im really wanting to make a clean, proper build.

More realistly I guess, how does, 2 level 4, or even level 5 DC Audio 15's

Im stumped on how to pick an amp out works really. If someone could help explain? 2 level 5 15's would run 2800w rms with 5600w rms peak correct?

So how does this work.

Thanks again.

Bro im at about $1600 with just 2000 watts bass and 500 watts mids/highs. I havent upgraded the alt yet, but will be soon. I have a pos and neg 1/0g front to back and over redundant grounds. I also have an extra batt in the back. I also have to put the charger on it at least once a week. I say all of that to say this: i dont have that much power demand and yet need more alt and batts. When the new smds come out i will be spending at least 1000 dollars on electrical upgrades( alt wire and batts) then about 1000 apiece for the smd v2 15's then ill need a 7.5k amp. And supplies to build a box for the subs. Having 8-9 thousand tied up in this hobbie is easy and not uncommon. Just do your research and save your money. Buy good equipment the first time. And allways go bigger on the electrical end of things than what you need.

I just wish i had a funny sig.
