Hellbilly429
Yeah, same the 10's can handle more power but they should still move just fine on 500 watts, especially since rockford amps are underrated. Gives you room to upgrade too, can always get a bigger amp down the road if need be. Just er towards 2.5 cu. ft @ 35hz with your ported box with 13-14 inches squared port area per cubic foot and the box will make up for the slightly lower power. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

07M35DDz
Go bigger! But 2 8" will sound clean but you're not going to bleed the block. Get a little bit of both for a beginner and get a nice 12 with some umf

BassDragon
Looks like things might change. After I get back from visiting family in Cali, my mom will decide whether or not to sell my brother's truck (My brother died back in '07 a couple months after he bought it - 2007 GMC Sierra). In the truck are two RF 10's and a Clarion amp. So if she does sell it, I get the head unit (A slide-out Alpine touch screen) and the other equipment. Shame, I was looking forward to seeing two boxes of SA's on my porch Maybe I'll use the money and go all out on door speakers. 1993 Toyota Tercel Two DC Audio Lvl 2 12'sDC 1.2k
