Hell im in the same boat as ken when i started at ur age i was building sealed boxes till i got the hang of things. I didnt have saw horses so its no exuse and you should have noticed the carboard so arguement invalid. My cuts were all made with a circulaw saw and strait edge while i had a friend stand on my mdf so it didnt move cause i did all my cutting off the tailgate on my truck. But enough bashing. Lets be honest guys we have seen worse. Best advise for the op. Stay on the site and learn. Read a few builds ask some questions. Come back and show us what you can do with proper knowledge. Maybe build a box for those alpines. If you ask questions and really want to learn there are people here that will help you. Ken may come off as being a dick( no offence) but he can hand out some good advise when asked. Dont get so butt hurt instead ask how would you have done this. Im planing on building a box for the alpines just waiting on my wood, its gonna be a "L" channel and have a 4 inch port @ like 3.5cuft tuned to about 33hz. The subs is rated for 20-220hz and it gets lows pretty nice (alpines are louder obviously) but for right now it does the trick. If you want to know more about my alpine box plan just say so.

smerch6969stepoff Posted July 30, 2013 Author Report Posted July 30, 2013 4'' wide vented port, and idk i dont even have a car. i run them off some shitty home amp that just protects. some old pioneer amp im guessing only like 100wrms if that. Planing on something like this (i know the RE box calculator is off in some areas but it gets a rough estimate and i dont have any other programs). They are 2 12'' dual 2 ohm and ill have them on 2 ohm when i get the box done.
