HP motor Rating?

Recommended Posts

OK ive searched several times on google about the hp rating on different types of motors and it seems like dead ends or everyone has thier own theory as to wjat it means. Im looking for an Answer! Like the real fact lol. When they say 4hp is that mean its a 4in coil or is that really what the "horsepower" is equivalent to the powerhandling? Or is this just a system TC sounds uses?

That's correct, 745.69 watts is equivalent to one horsepower. So if a manufacturer claims a four horsepower rating, they're saying the amp or speaker produces/handles 3000 watts.
