do tweets need the factory 0.2ohm resistance coil?

i have the tweets from the alpine SPC-60 component kit. i am installing a bi amp setup today so the tweets will be on there own Audiobahn A275HC. the tweets had a 0.2ohm coil of copper on the 6.5" speakers. if i am hooking these tweets directly to there own amp do i need to run this coil in line or should i leave it out?

Yes the tweeters need a crossover cap. Are you will blow them fast as you got them sir . Need to see what you talking about. But yes they need a filter on them. (tweeter cap).

They don't need it if you're running active and setting the crossover point for the tweeters on some sort of processor or headunit

ok, so ill keep the cap on there. all that does in increase the resistance correct? the deck will have its Xover off, RCA to a KX3, Xover at 3500hz, rca to audiobahn, speaker wire to the cap, cap to tweet (1 wire). that sound right? should the cap be on the positive or negative side or does it not matter?

i hooked it all up with the coils. here is a picture of what i removed:

Try it with those capacitors wired in line with the tweeters. An active system should have inline capacitors for protection against pops from the amplifier turn-on and turn-off and from accidentally setting the crossover incorrectly. The standard choice is a 20 uF electrolytic non-polarized capacitor found on parts-express.com for a few bucks. You don't need a more expensive capacitor for this application unless you want to waste your money.

so should i wire in the copper coils that i removed that you see in the picture or buy some actual caps and see what happens.
