Fairly basic grounding soldering question

Okay so this is a basic simple question maybe somone could shed some light, so in my quest to get the best ground connection i sanded a nice spot on the frame and got me some self tapping screws and washers, soldered my 1/0 into a 1/0 ring terminal and screwed to frame, now to make sure i got the best connection possible i got a pencil torch and heated the frame and connector and mad myself a nice blob of solder so it looks like wire going into a blob lol does anyone know if this would benifit or if there is some way with a DMM to check resistance or something?

I don't think it will help you as much as you think it will. Chances are the solder will break loose before it even has a chance to do any benefit to the actual grounding of the metal frame. The problem lies with that you never got the metal of the car hot enough for the solder to bond with. You basically just dropped a blob of solder ontop of a connection. You could probably just go pluck it off. If I were to guess I think what you was trying to achieve was a tack weld. It's not going to work with solder and heavy metal.

I would use a bolt instead of self tappers honestly, use a lock washer, and some washers, and tighten that bitch DOWN. then once it is secure, put some silicone on it or something to seal it from water.

I would get flat washer like this picture shows or similar. They get a good bite on the metal and help get a better ground.

I like the look of those washers looks promising! will do some looking into, and its been a week since i did the blob and i wasnt pouring it ontop it i was touching it to frame and letting it melt off the heat of the frame, i cant get it to chip off a little around the edges but the main blob not so.

Edit: yes like a tack wel i guess, so there wouldnt be any noticable difference? or a way to test my theory with a DMM or something

Sounds like you got a bond. Just keep an eye on it and made sure it doesn't corrode. Just take your DMM and use the continuity " beep" to an adjacent ground. I certainly hope it holds.
