Karkov Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 About to start the install of my equipment listed in my sig. the XS Power 3100 will be my sole in vehicle battery but once system is complete I will be replacing the under hood battery with new one(s) so everything is new. There are 2 spots under hood for batteries from the factory so i will prolly use both spots and have 2 batteries under there. Can a guy get away with just using 2 automotive batteries (example: Interstate) or would i be better off going with performance batteries (example: XS power). Please let me know what you guys would do with your own vehicles and why? SGTSKIP Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 Not all batteries measure out the same, well as in size and or power. See what you can fit 1st and go from there unless you want to rebuild stuff to make bigger one fit. Try 2 first and add more as needed. I've got an XS D3400 in my '03 Sierra in stock location and may put another Group 34 in the secondary battery location on the passenger side. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Yea, i planned on measuring the spaces provided under hood and matching to batteries i was considering putting in. Didn't know if the XS Power *D* series would be needed under hood or not but maybe it's the best bet for powering the stereo best it can. Cost is less important to me than is adequate power for the stereo. CleanSierra Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 No problem. It's been a great battery for me for about a year. I upgraded Big3 a little after the XS and I noticed a difference, even with a little 1400 Watt system. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
