Chicago has more murders than Detroit but because Detroit is smaller with less people the rate is high. Cities like Gary and East ST. Louis are way worse and fucked up with higher murder rates. If you took all the problem areas in Chicago and made it one city it would be the worse hands down. Technically the city I live in has the highest crime rate per capita in the whole county but our population is relatively low so it throws the numbers off big time, Just like any city though there are places you just don't go if you don't belong there if you like living. Detroit doesn't even scare me, I'd much rather be there than Flint or Saginaw, It always trips me out when I roll through the hood in Detroit and the dudes on the block got nicer whips than me but all the houses are burned out and ran down.
