Pre-Dodge Caliber build

Recommended Posts

2009 Dodge Caliber. Build me a budget rig. Speakers, amps, and subs.

This is the deck I'm using.

This car fits 6x9s. Just sayin, I cannot tell the quality difference in a round vs oval speaker.

I listen to mostly metal.

What items do you recommend?

What's your budget for the budget build?

$500 is where I'd like to keep it.

If I have to sacrifice subs for better door speakers, I'll be ok with that.

$500 for a whole system is basically Nothing to work with you should just save up some more money first.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

What are your goals are you looking for a sq setup or just to be loud? Here is one option

Plus two pairs of these

Around $300 total so it would leave you enough money to buy all the needed wiring.

Just looking for something clean sounding with a lot of headroom. Not so much SQ. I don't wanna get into the time alignment and massive EQing.

I had prime speakers in my previous car. Hated them.

Alpine any good? Little more pricey, but the Type-R series looks to be decent.
