meade916 Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Ok, i am going to make an effort to test an amplifier each week, or at least every other week, and post up a video. I know today is only Monday, but i wanted to see if you guys could guess what this amp REALLY did. It's about 6-7 years old.Rockford Fosgate T800.4 (4channel)Rated: 200x4, 400x2.I tested it @ 2ohms (1 ohm bridged). I used a battery bank of 3 xs power XP3000 Batteries for 12.8v, to simulate the car being off..... and 3 D1400 for the 14.5v test, simulating the car on and alternator turning. Both banks are sitting on a 10 amp intellicharger, to keep the batteries fresh in between runs, but they are FAR from a power supply @ 10a, so they don't factor too much, other then in between tests.Bear in mind, my test bench is FUN but it isn't perfect. It's only 3 batteries in each division. It is good up to about a couple thousand watts IMO before the batteries start becoming a larger deciding factor. That is what the AD-1 is all about though. Your results are ALWAYS going to be affected by the power you are supplying to the amp, that is being tested. It is made to be brought out to the car. The true beauty of the amp dyno is, i actually test this amp in YOUR car (when you pull up) and i tell you if your amp is really putting out the power, with the electrical system YOU provide (aka your car). So this test is fun, but remember, it is based SOLELY off of the power i am able to give it from my bench. So take the results for what they are....Categories: (tested @ 2ohms bridged on front and rear channels).Total: front/rear combined12v @ 1% distortion 12v @ Clipping12v dynamic RMS @ clipping14v @ 1% Distortion14v @ Clipping14v dynamic RMS @ clippingany guesses? goodvibez Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 4,862 watts...that how you want it posted? Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!
