My name is Bryan, I am 28 and have been a basshead ever since I was a kid. I had my first system in my car before I even had my license or the car legal to drive. I have had many different systems growing up consisting of many various brands of equipment. I've helped put a few systems in my friends cars too, but I am no means a pro or even pretend to be one. That being said, I still know enough to get myself in trouble. Awhile back I started to have seizures and soon after found out that I have epilepsy and probably wouldnt ever be able to drive again. A couple years have passed and I still can not drive. Well, I'm not going to let that hold me back from doing and enjoying what I love most and thats building designing and pounding the shit out of my systems. So, I will be doing this build in my fiances car due to the above circumstances. On with the build. The build as planned so far will consist of. 2 Soundqubed HDC3 12's 1 Soundqubed 2200D 1 Soundqubed Q4-120 2 pairs of Soundqubed QC-HF6.5 Neon Green and Black (soundqubed colors) KnuConceptz OFC 0 gauge and some 4 gauge for the Q4-120 Big 3 with above wire Dynamat extreme deadener - I get trunk kits of this for $40 and its pretty decent stuff or I would probably use Audio Technix I will need a few more things which I am hoping to get some suggestions from you guys. I will need a line out converter or similar because my fiance wants to keep the factory cd player. I really like the rockford 360 RF-BLD, but I havent ever used a LOC before, Would that work well or would you guys suggest something else? As for power, I know I will probably at least need a battery and I want something decent quailty but not outrageously priced. I am open to suggestions on this as well. I also heard something about these cars have some weird style alternators so nobody makes an aftermarket one yet? Not sure how true that is, but any known info on that as well would be appreciated. I already have the subs and 2200, I will be getting the Knu wire, LOC, and getting the box built in about 2 weeks. The rest of the equipment will come after when money permits. I do not have any pictures right now but I will have plenty of them coming up once I get this thing started. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.

I will keep this thread updated as much as possible. Good to hear you haven't given up on being a Basshead. I personally have not used the RF line convertor, but several people here have. Just get a quality AGM battery in the rear, for the power you are going to run a single group 31 should be more than sufficient. Could you recommend a decent brand or two? I know very little about batteries. Also, would you recommend I just replace the stock battery with something better, or add an additional one to the stockie?
Smoove Posted June 30, 2013 Report Posted June 30, 2013 If the stock battery isn't an AGM i would say replace it before adding an extra AGM in the back. zgodswrathz Posted July 2, 2013 Author Report Posted July 2, 2013 Here is the car and the system that it has for now until I get the rest of the stuff taken care of. I am also thinking about doing the pro mids in the back doors instead of the component set. IF they fit. Havent for sure decided which I am going to do though.

Cruze2 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 The sad part about the Cruze is that the speakers in the rear doors are on the very bottom and they point downward so, imo buying read door speakers are pointless. Just upgrade the front and tweets, and get a decent pair of 6*9s for the rear deck. Keep up the work though man, can't wait for it to be finished. 2012 Chevrolet Cruze

I personally don't like having speakers in the rear deck above my subs. I am sure people will argue about this but I believe having speakers directly above my subs will cause some cancellation. Which is why I decided to go with the pro mids in the back doors instead of the 6x9's in the rear deck.
