Alpine Type E, why no ported?

So I have a pair of Alpine Type E 12 inch subwoofers, and a Free box, which is ported, and I wanted to know what Alpine recommends for the Type E, so I know if I can use the box that I have, the only problem is that I cannot find any information about what the specs are fro a ported box for the type Es... I have searched for hours!

The model numbers for the subs are SWE-1242, they are single 4 ohm coils, and like I said above 12inches in size.

So does anybody know why Alpine does not state a size for a ported box? I have never ran into this sort of thing before... Also Does anybody know the size, the box is an older Kicker box, for 2 12s with a 4 inch port, out the side..

Yes I am aware that I should not be mixing things up like this, but I really want to give a ported box a try before I go out and build one, So far the sealed boxes I have been really happy with.

1-1.5cuft ported

0.7-1 Sealed

With an ebp of 56 you can use it in either sealed or ported but its in the higher range of both closer to sealed

But will be fine in ported

Is the 1-1.5 for each sub? I am really trying not to be a noob , but what does Ebp stand for?

And yes they look appropriate for sealed and likely 4th bandpass.
