robsmokingood
Im about to buy an AQ2200, i have a basic system as of now, it being 2 kicker cvr 12s on a boss onyx 2 chnl amp I own a 2000 malibu With crappy xscorpion 4gauge ran. stock alt (102A) with 170 k Great running car, and the 1/0 wire im gonna buy is gonna be real easy to run via all the room ive located underneath the seats : D anyways, the aq2200 is the first thing im buying, im supposed to buy it friday. For 325 cant go wrong. So the sub im aiming for is a 15": alumminum coil d1 HDC3 im in love with that line of sub, there sexxxy and im deadset on it. I will be buying a 50ft roll of skyhigh 1/0 gauge as well to cover my power runs, grounds, & big 3. Like i said it will be a stock alt, so i will have the biggest batt i can fit upfront along with a sustainable car audio battery for the rear. Is my plan realistic? i plan on driving around without a bump for a month or so to make all this happen along with savings ive aquried. AI James
your plans should be solid for what you have planned. make sure you use proper grounds, and that everything is properly ran and fused.
kl0wn
You should be fine man. I ran the aq2200 on a kinetik 1400 and 2400 with 200a alt and my voltage was good after I fixed a bad ground. 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz

ChrisB4
That's a good price, they sell on soundqubeds website for $429 new. The last time I saw them on sale for $329 new but didn't have the funds, lets hope they go on sale again before I buy mine. $100 could go a long way in my system. Tarball
As mentioned a d1 sub will get you to 2ohms or .5 ohms at the amp (before rise). Are you sure thats what you want to do? Two additional things in order of importance. You dont want to run a wet cell and "car audio" battery together, Get two car audio batteries You are going to want to upgrade your alt. 2kw is right there at the edge of OK to run on a stock alt and the 102amp GM alt sux. Even a mild 180-200a nice H.O. alt would be a good choice here. The Malibu "may" even be able to take a stock ad244 from a larger truck (yukon/tahoe).
