help?! makes no sense?! wiring..

ok guys here it is.. I am wiring up my 2 12 xl's dual 1 ohm.. I am trying to wire them to 1 ohm so I put it in series and parallel, but it only ready .5 on my multi meter. Its really starting to piss me off.. idk whats going on!?

they are I did that right when I opened them up... all 1 ohm readings.

Check the resistance on the dmm leads they may be right and it kust be the leads in the dmm

that's what I thought, it might be my dmm but when I put it on the coils it reads 1.0..?

so I plugged it into my amp anyway to see how it works.. its not as loud as it should be? deff something is not wired right but I tripled checked and everything maybe I will figure this out!

Check you polarity with a 9v battery. Pos to pos on each coil. Make sure the speaker cone move the same direction oneach coil. Like you said....something iisn't right.
