This will pretty much be a rant, as there isn't anything I can do now. 2 weeks ago, I came home from work to find the lock on my shed missing. I opened the doors, looked in and nothing seemed like it was missing. Car rims still sitting where I left them, everything fine. I went out to the shed today to take some measurements on my box, and it was gone. I had the box under a tarp in the back corner, I lifted the tarp to see a cardboard box sitting there instead. Needless to say, I'm pissed off. I have no idea HOW anyone knew my equipment was in there. It doesn't matter anymore, but I just felt like getting it off my chest. People suck. Time to start shopping for a new one.

So they left the rims but took the box that you had under tarp and replaced it with a cardboard one?

I'd think real hard man that sounds too much like they knew it was there and had it planned.

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..

I know, its ridiculous...I didn't tell anybody that I put it there. The only person that knew where it was, was me. So whoever it was had to have seen me moving it into the shed.

I wouldn't call it lucky. More like less unfortunate. Looks like I'll be rebuilding a lot earlier than I expected.

When I had my stuff stolen years ago the police officer was telling me over 70% of all thefts are done by someone who is close to you, has been in your car/place where you have your equipment, or someone who lives around you and is familiar with your habits and where you keep stuff.

As an outsider if whomever took your stuff took the time to put a carboard box in it's place to make it look like nothing was stolen, that seems like it is hitting real close to home. Someone who knew your stuff was there, someone who has been in there, etc.

Sorry about your equipment though. Always sucks!

I know but I said lucky since they could have stolen a lot more than just the box.

Seems like you are at least taking it in stride. Sucks, but it could have always been worse, and it is ONLY stereo stuff, not someone's life or something of that nature!

Sounds like maybe a neighbor or something, I'd keep my eyes out. Any nosy neighbors or anyone come to mind?
