CUT BUDDY
My question is in a trunked vehicle I know that the best way to face a ported box is subs/port back towards the liscense plate. But would u get increased bass if u build the enclosure, face it towards the back seats, and seal off everything around it. The reason why I am asking is because Im hooking up a '87 Cutlass and my daily car was hit while parked at a friends house (long story short) I ended up having to get another car to drive everyday but its pretty nice so I wanna do some mods to it as well. Its a 97' Thunderbird 4.6L. I have a pretty good amount of trunk space even though its a coupe. So Im thinking 2-12" BTLs and a T4K. But I wanted to know if it was really worth me sealing the enclosure off to the cabin and having the sound come straight through the rear armrest? (keeping back seats) TEAM MechMan Alternators

CUT BUDDY
that install is sick, but not really what I had in mind. I wanted it to face the front cabin just like that one is but with a shared slotted port between the 2 subs. I wanted it to be basically a wall kinda but when ur in the car and u turn around it loos perfectly normal except for the hole in the rear seat where the armrest goes. But if u removed the rear seat it would look exactly like that but inside the trunk. Basically Im talking about a regular enclosure with the subs and port on the same side facing to the front of the car "behind" the rear seat (about 1/2 foot between the rear seat and subs/port). With glassing around the enclosure to seal it off from the rear so everything that exits the enclosure, enters straight through the cabin. I was asking would that be louder than me just building a box the normal way facing them back towards the liscense plate and no glassing or nothing, just a basic install?
