Help! Launched sub 7 days before heat wave!

Just a suggestion, before you go fucking with anything on the box, and before you talk anymore shit in a public forum about Dre, why don't you get in contact with him and let him know what's up and what happened and figure something out. I know he's a good guy and would most likely take care of it if it's his problem. I think it's pretty shitty to talk like that, about someone who didn't even design the enclosure, which you don't know 100% that is the reason for this.

It could, after all, also be your skam, errr I mean Skar, subs. Maybe you did something. Maybe something happened electronically during the hill. There seems to be about a hundred possible scenarios that could be the problem. Maybe you should get back with Dre and discuss it, and see where it goes from there.

I of course can't speak for him, I'll let him do that, but hopefully you guys can work something out. Especially after what you said. I would personally tell you to kick rocks and get in touch with GPC. Just my $.02.

Thanks scooter. I'm not talking shit about dre. Second, I've not been happy with the box performance overall from moment 1...and when I questioned the design dre got SUPER defensive (way before it was even built) It's only better then my BHE because its way bigger (more effecient) I have tried to talk to dre, he seen my Facebook messages and didn't reply. Multiple times. Granted he could be busy. Which is fine.

I just want answers, not a bitch fest. I just pray my sub will work.

You can blame skar if you want but the BHE box I could play 20hz all day long no subsonic and not only NOT here it bottom out like I do with this box at 27hz... But I sure as hell don't hear the coil leaving the gap when I'm playing a song (regular iTunes juicebox) that is like in the 30's

Snow.. I realize it doesn't help much. But I don't have any cut sheet or dims on that box other then my outside dims. I asked for anything that could be told on it before and during its build, and never was told. I didn't question it because dre treated me good, as did I to him when his car was taking a shit multiple times and he had no where to go since my dad is a mechanic.

Dre and I are good, other then I may have a 412 box that I would have never approved of if it knew who it was that designed it. For a whole I thought dre was designing it, then I thought he was building it... The only thing I can do now is try to fix what I'm given, which is why I posted here. Because I don't have much other place to turn to for legitimate help. And I can't throw money at this until its right any more... I'm gonna scrap the money I need to get everything (subs & box) right, and get past this.

Well it could certainly be perceived that you were since you were "so pissed" and then said the part about Dre selling you the design etc etc. That to me is talking shit. But beyond that, Dre has been working on his car all day. He's probably sleeping now. He hasn't answered much of anything all day long. I'm sure he'll deal with it at some point. But work it out with him.

And whether it's the Skar subs or not, I was throwing possible scenarios out there.

Not trying to start anything with you, just saying, before you go to far with what you're saying, work it out with him, don't drag his name through the mud unless you're 110% sure it's on him. That's all.

I'm pissed for 2 reasons...

Dre didn't tell me who the box was designed by,

Dre didn't tell me that the box was designed by the known box killer.

Granted they could be friends and all, but to me I don't like the idea knowing in my car right now is one of his designs even if it was a good box that didn't help launch my sub playing a song in the mid 30's with a box tuned to 31.

Can you think of any ideas with this whole sub thing?

Has anyone ever herd of popping it back in the gap and a sub playing?

I want to say that there are known issues with the ZVX's. Within the last week or so, a member on floridaspl said that Kevin had shipped out new subs to warranty the people who got the first run of failed ZVX's. Good luck with everything man. BHE is win, even if you have to wait a little longer for a design.

I don't know, I vaguely remember someone having the same issue, not sure if the same subs, and he put it back in place and it worked. I wish I could remember who, I'd link you to it. It's one of those things that you know you saw or read, but just don't know the details of who or where. Sorry that's not much help is it.

Worst case, just try it. Push on the sub after you do it and see if there's rubbing.
