Red Lobsta Posted February 24, 2008 Report Share Posted February 24, 2008 Does anyone think that if you switch out a 6.5 inch speaker with a smaller 5.25 speaker, the overall sound will be different. Now I know that a bigger speaker should be louder because of it is bigger, but what if the 5.25 is higer quality. Like having a kicker RS 6.5 switching with a kicker SS5.25. The SS should sound better right? Like trying to compare a 4" to a 6.5", or a 6.5" to a 10" for vocals/mids. Ive always found they get louder off little power and get even louder with more or rms power.
