Unable to search string with decimal

So Im looking for a amp and I am currently looking at the c1100.4 and when I search for that I get this:

No results found for 'c11004'.

Where did the decimal go?

I would turn on dev mode as explained here: http://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/advanced-and-developers/miscellaneous/developers-mode-r147

Then do a var_dump on the $forum array to see what is overriding the $post_data variable.

Yea - I know about it but I wanted to see what other users here on this forum felt about it. I'm just doing a bug report. Personally I know how to find information for example

Basically I just searched with google: site:stevemeadedesigns.com C1100.4

in order to give a better user experience the search needs to be fixed. Also I noticed if the page hasn't fully loaded the HTML/CSS positioning moves ads overlaying different elements like forum topics. If you can't tell I am a developer.

I will report this to invision because we haven't modified the code for the search function. Feel free to post screenshots of the half loaded page with element issues as well.
