Steve Barber
Building this for my buddy for two SA8V2 subs. It is .2 sealed each and 1.1 ported shared. Tuned to 50hz. Powered by a Hifoncs BRX2400 @ 2 ohms. Porting it through the rear deck in his Cadillac Deville with a 4" aero port.

Steve Barber
Amazing! Hits the lows with authority and has a nice broad range. Very impressed. Can't believe its just a couple 8's
Bradprobert
Pretty cool man. I did a 4th order myself for those subs and I love it but yours is designed much different and I'm interested to know how it sounds. [sharedmedia=garage:vehicles:2223] 4th-order under rear seat build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/165708-4th-order-under-rear-seat-chevy-extended-cab/#entry2410477 SD, thank for the input. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .
RooTxBeeR
Hey man, if you ever get access to a SMD IM-SG use that to figure out what the subs are resonant too, then tune the port to that. Will really make to improve how the subs play. But that is pretty sick man, I always thought they wouldn't work that great in a 4th. I remember seeing something that said subs that are above .5 QTS are better in sealed enclosures, which is the base for a 4th. The sa-8 only has .33 QTS. I would definetely love to try these out for myself. Steve Barber
I got the idea from T-Fade on caco. He is a world record holder and a sick box builder. He said he did 4 sa8s in a 4th like this and was doing 48's all day. I took his advise and im not disappointed one bit. The box is small and just straight gets down. Steve Barber
We tested it with a ampere audio 3800.1 at 2 ohms. He is on a budget so he bought a new Hifonics brx2400d. It does 1600 @ 2 ohms
RooTxBeeR
lol damn, thats quite a lot of power for those two, they are only rated for 500 and in 4th your really dont need to overpower, and I think it's best to not.
