badt Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Ive just brought myself a kicker zx10001 amp that are discontinued. Its specs are 1000rms at 2 ohms and 500 at 4. I've got a kicker l7 15 hooked up to it but only at 4 ohms ATM. Could anyone show me how to hook it up to 2 ohms. Thanks. My kicker is 2 ohms dvc

badt Posted July 30, 2013 Author Report Posted July 30, 2013 So my amp won't be able to take a 1 ohm load then? If I did get it to a 1 ohm load would it blow the sub? Or will it be a good match.
twisted1 Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 It will run at one ohm.. ok run pos off amp to solid red dot make jumper an run to other red dot. Do same with negative black dots. You can check with dmm an see if your at 1ohm. Another option is buy another 2dvc At 1 ohm it will draw alot of power so if it goes under 12v the amp will overheat.. send clip sig an possibly fry caps an frets. 09 mustang gt

Email kicker an they will also tell you they can run at 1 but the wont reccomend it Bottom line is that its all the guy has. So use what you got Bro fuck it I have a couple kicker cvr 2dvc an if you want one ill give it to you sovyou can run em both to 2 ohms 09 mustang gt
