Hellbilly429
Also port cut sheet never works for me on torres, so port is an L port, for the port piece coming off the baffle the piece would be 11.5'X13.5", and port extension 11.75"X13.5" 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
darksoul989
As for the glass on the back, unless you use 3/4" plexi glass I would say don't do it those are about what i got and told it would be way off. my main issue is if port faces to side of trunk i get rattle, and so far only decent config is with sub and port facing trunk. iv had it to a pin point with using 2 tube ports, but wasn't sure what to do for bracing and how to calculate that in correctly. and i know listening to nearly all types of music doesn't help the dam tuning very much since it needs a vast variety for quality. Hellbilly429
The port and sub would be firing out of the front of the box, when I said the port was off to the side I meant on the side of the front of the box, not on the top like this That was the best I could come up with for the size of dimensions you gave me. Honestly for 1 10" that is a fucking huge box, lol. That's as big as my box for my 12" SA, I think your 10" will do just fine in that big of a box. As for bracing you could do like this 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
darksoul989
i can say for a low comp 10'' the dam thing can get overly loud and hits hard in the right. hell even in box not tuned correctly it still hits hard and has clarity. in the 1.5cf spl range it's insane for a 10 and in larger boxes its insanely crisp with clarity
Hellbilly429
I would say the added almost .5 cubes with proper tuning and port area should sound pretty good then 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
darksoul989
what you think is largest you can even go with a box without needing bracing?
darksoul989
only reason i need it wide compared to being deep is so its not taking up every bit trunk space lol
Hellbilly429
there are way too many variables involved with that question, different shaped boxes are more rigid than others, slot ports add rigidity, extra baffles add strength, different materials, better glue, screws, etc... 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
Hellbilly429
If you could go more on depth or height we can make the box bigger, but in my honest opinion 2 cubes net is huge for 1 10" driver, 2.25 might sound good on 300 watts but if you add more power you risk burning the sub up in a huge enclosure 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
darksoul989
ok just measured trunk, i can safely fit 26w, 16d, 16t. current Bassworx box rough guess based on the newer version of my current box is 1.25cf 36hz, idk if thats smaller or larger. so even if my box is under the 1.5cf for slp im surprised the dam thing aint being choked to death.
