MACnonsence6
i have a blown pyle http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Pyle-PLSQ10D-Red-Label-Square-Subwoofer-PLSQ-10D-/360681248462?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item53fa4716ce i wana take the motor off and build an 8 its a pretty decent size motor uses a 2-1/2" coil so i think it would make a pretty good 8. it just has philip head screws i tried to take them out but it started slipping so i stoped cause i dont wana strip them. anyone have any tricks to get them out while saving the motor I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Guest
screws are likely glued down to prevent themselves backing out.

MACnonsence6
might in the end have to get that drill bit that drills into screws so you can take them out I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. 87chevyboi
put some heat on it and I have a screw driver that is good for stuff like that it might be worth picking up if you are doing a lot of taking screws out and don't wanna strip em...you put pressure on it and hit it with a hammer and it backs out the screws for you... http://www.harborfreight.com/impact-screwdriver-set-with-case-37530.html that's similar to what I have but mine is all metal, it works like a charm though My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. I live in the south and we are all dumb here.
79 cutty
Could always try the rubber band trick to get a snug fit in the screw head and try to prevent stripping in the first place. I have done that before with success. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. MACnonsence6
ya thats what i was thinking or re drill the motor or basket. but now thats not really the issue cause thats something rather simple to do i feel like finding a coil with those odd specs is gona be rather hard I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. 79 cutty
I'm all for seeing custom subs built, but for the time and cash you are going to drop to use that motor you might just be better off buying a nice factory built 8" sub. Once you start getting into larger drivers is where you can save a couple bucks building your own IMO Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking!
