Lifted2000Ford4x4 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I'm looking to get a 4 chan to power my doors. I have 4 Pioneer TSD6802R's 60 watts rms... Looking at the MB quart reference line of amps. I want to get full power out of these, but don't want the tweets to blow. MB quart has 2 models. a 60 x 4 and a 80 x 4. i was going to get the 80 x 4 to make up for power loss, impedance rise, and all that other crap, and just set the gain a bit lower. what would you recommend? 60 or 80?
goldeneye4564 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 get the 80 x 4, set gains correctly, and make sure to set your crossovers right so your tweeter doesnt try to play 30 hz. I RREEALLY ANGRY WIT U PHOTOBUCKET. HAD TO USE DROPBOX NOW HOLYYYYYY. Wanna ride bikes? Lifted2000Ford4x4 Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 dead set on a mb quart amp? i've used them before. i like the style and the location of the settings. they have been proven to be good amps.
Lifted2000Ford4x4 Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 get the 80 x 4, set gains correctly, and make sure to set your crossovers right so your tweeter doesnt try to play 30 hz. its coax speakers. so it has a built in cross over.
KMS Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 80 seems to be my favorite. I have a 120.4 AQ but my gains are set to 80w through the DMM method. I like overhead though. Alpine PDX-V9 Morel Tempo 6 Alpine SBR-S8-4 Alpine CDE 149BT
